PHASE 1
This phase focuses on enhancing the core utility of the app without yet introducing paywalls. The goal is to make the app indispensable for planning, not just color matching. We introduce Project Folders to allow users to save and organize their color finds by room (e.g., “Kitchen,” “Master Bedroom”) and a Smart Paint Calculator that goes beyond simple math by factoring in surface types (fresh plaster vs. painted walls) for accurate liter counts.
PHASE 2
This phase integrates high-value technology that leverages the phone’s hardware. We develop the AR Room Measuring Tool, utilising ARCore/ARKit to let users measure walls by simply pointing their camera, eliminating the need for a physical tape measure. We also build the PDF Export engine, allowing users to bundle their project data (colors + quantities) into a professional, shareable document for decorators or store staff.
PHASE 3
The final phase brings the “wow” factor and the business model. We launch the Room Visualizer, allowing users to take a photo of their space and digitally “paint” the walls to preview colors. Simultaneously, we flip the switch on Dupecoat Pro. The app remains free for core color matching, but the new “power tools”, AR Measuring, Saved Visualizations, Unlimited Projects, and PDF Exports, become part of the premium subscription.
